MUBS Alumni Association conducts transparent, democratic elections for its executive leadership. All cleared full members are eligible to vote and stand for office.
All elections are governed by the MUBS Alumni Association Constitution. The Electoral Committee ensures fairness and transparency throughout the process.
All cleared full members in good standing are eligible to vote. Membership must be active and annual subscription paid before the electoral roll is compiled.
Any cleared full member who has been a member for at least one year may apply for a position, subject to nomination by two other full members.
Voting is conducted through a secure OTP-verified digital ballot. Results are published immediately after the Electoral Committee declares them.
As defined in the MUBS Alumni Association Constitution (Articles 6–9), there are three classes of membership — each with distinct qualifications, rights, and obligations.
Open to all graduates of MUBS and its predecessor institutions, and all former and current MUBS staff. Rights are activated upon payment of fees.
Graduates of MUBS, Uganda Technical College, Uganda College of Commerce, National College of Business Studies, and all former/current MUBS staff.
Non-payment of annual subscription or other fees, or death of the member.
Conferred by recommendation of the Executive Committee and approved by the Annual General Meeting. No fees are prescribed in the constitution.
Open to companies, organisations and institutions that have substantially supported MUBS and continue to associate with it.
Constitution Reference: Membership classes are defined in Articles 6–9 of the MUBS Alumni Association Constitution (INST-NO: 1757485558126). The UGX 10,000 membership fee (once-off) and UGX 10,000 annual subscription are two separate obligations under Articles 9(a) and 9(b), applicable to Full Members only. Honorary and Corporate membership have no fees prescribed in the constitution.
